{monday muse: the people who have served}

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Sometime over the weekend I realized that today might be a holiday for some people as we honor Veteran's Day. I was getting ready to create the next installment of Monday Muse when I had an epiphany: why not make veterans the world over this month's muse. So, rather than create my standard Monday Muse, I will keep things short and sweet, and simply dedicate this post to all veterans for their selfless service to this country.

Oh, before I set you free, I did a fun guest post for Joy of Frock Files. While Joy is away and enjoying some aloha spirit, I'm sharing some of my favorite things. I would love if you popped over when you get the chance.

Happy new week!

16 Send Me Your Thoughts:

  1. So special and important to honor our veterans. I'm off from work today and shamefully am just seeing it as a free day off, without really honoring the memory of those who served. My grandfather served in WWII in Germany and Poland,  and my grandfather's uncle, both of whom were devoutly Jewish, so they felt like they were born to serve. Can't forget their contributions, today and everyday. Here's to all our veterans! Have a great day, T. xoxo
    LOVED your guest post over on Joy's blog! Unsurprisingly, we have a ton in common :)

  4. What a beautiful sentiment. We have lots of vets in my family, and I think it's so important to remember what they and all the other service members, have sacrificed for us.

    And thank you so much for being a Bright Light! I loved every single one of your picks. I agree with Teri; you're gorgeous! xo

  5. Wow, those are some impressive veterans in your family. It would be cool if you found some old photos of them - I would love to see them. My dad was in the army, but never went to combat due to his hearing or eyesight, I can't remember.
    Thanks for popping over, Erin! It is pretty crazy how much our tastes match. :) Kindred spirits!

  6. Well, the remembrance almost escaped me. I suppose that's why they created the holiday so we'll always remember. ;)
