{all hallows' evening}

Just wanted to pop in to wish you all a happy Halloween! Do you have any fun plans? Do you dress up? Do you stay in or go out? We will take the kids out to trick-or-treat in a nearby neighborhood with their cousins. However, I will forgo a costume in favor of something warm and comfy. Hm, maybe I'll put on a cable knit sweater and rubber rain boots, and go as a fisherman. Ok, done.

For all of you who braved Sandy, how are you doing? I'm sending and wishing you all the best. Wherever this post finds you, please have a fun and safe Halloween!

11 Send Me Your Thoughts:

  1. I'm a bit of a Halloween party pooper I'm afraid - I don't trick, treat or dress up but I do buy treats for the few neighbourhood kids who love to do so. Tonight, I shall alternately don my horse and badger masks from my photoshoot to greet my little visitors. Muahahahahahahaha! :D

    Have fun, tonight! x

  2. I've never been much of a costume girl myself. This is the first year that Callum is technically too old to go trick-or-treating, but I'm pretty okay with that. Sandy threw a wrench in the week and I'd forgotten it was Halloween! I'll try to talk him into handing out candy, but they rescheduled his science test from his missed day of school to tomorrow. Who does that????

  3. Happy Halloween to you as well! We went out last weekend, so I think we'll take it easy tonight. Although the holiday does have me day dreaming of neighborhoods and trick or treating myself. :-)

  4. Happy Halloween!  I'd love to get all dressed up and go to an adult costume party, but for now I'll enjoy my time going door to door with the kiddies.  Have Fun!

  5. That wreath is stunning. It looks like peacock feathers, the colors are amazing! Happy Halloween darling! I like Chi's plan to dress up and greet her trick or treaters! Sandy moved her butt on through and everything is okay here, but I know we're lucky given the devastation elsewhere. Such a shame. A lot of towns in New Jersey have officially postponed Halloween until this weekend (true story!) to make it safer for trick or treaters.

    I like your fisherman costume a bunch. I might hang out in my Bean Boots and a chunky sweater and copy! :) xo

  7. Lovely photo T. Happy Halloween to everyone. Hope that americans unite! Was rather impressed with Obama's speech in NJ. Here's to better times.

  10. Hope you had a happy Halloween! Even though kids weren't supposed to go trick or treating last night some folks dressed up and walked around the neighborhood trying to bring some normalcy back. We are fine but seeing all the destruction in other areas makes me incredible sad.

    PS. where did you get the wreath? it looks amazing with all the feathers...
