{crimson story...}

i remember when i first saw the amazing interior design work of betsy burnham of burnham design in lonny mag. i instantly fell in love with all of her work, especially the little shots of crimson that she works into some of her projects. it's all very visually stimulating.

[ok, follow me here, i'm going off on a bit of a tangent.] while i was putting together this layout i was reminded of the movie, the sixth sense. you know the movie where the young boy can communicate with dead people, and the color red is used "to connote really explosively emotional moments and situations". what's that you say? you didn't notice m. night shyamalan's pops of red? oh, you've got to watch the movie again. one of my all time favorite scary movies - perfect for halloween. [tangent finished.]

  3. yes, i'm loving the black+red and light blue+red combos.

  4. Hi Theresa, I saw your question about photo size at BYW and I came to see your blog. That's a very beautiful blog.
    I was wondering if you could tell me how you put together this collage, specially how you wrote in that little circle.
    I'm still trying to catch up on the BYW lessons. I love the course but I think it was too much information on not too much time.
    I appreciate if you can answer my question. Thank you.

  5. Hi Regina,
    Thank you so much for stopping by and for your compliments. Glad you enjoyed. I use a MacBook computer (purchased in 2010) and a program called iPages came already loaded on the computer. I use iPages for all my layouts, including adding text. iPages is a very simple, stripped down layout program (very easy to learn and use). Where most people use Photoshop or Picasa, I use iPages. If you have any additional questions, feel free to shoot me an email: twiggydykes@hotmail.com. I will try to help in any way that I can.
    Thanks again for stopping by,
