ah, to own a chesterfield. this sofa looks like it can take a beating; a definite criteria when you have kids and pets. since we were recently in the market for a new sofa, the chesterfield kept popping up as i perused different shelter magazines and sites for inspiration. if you are looking for a piece of furniture that adds instant patina and history to your home, the chesterfield is the answer as it's been around since the 18th century. (something to keep in mind, the chesterfield is an investment piece and doesn't come cheap.) while we didn't end up purchasing a chesterfield, it will remain on my wish list for future purchase (along with the eames lounge and ottoman).
ps~love how designer alexander wang paired his chesterfield with more modern pieces.
