{straight up vintage...}

i've noticed a movement taking place - american rustic (so called by this new york times article found via better shelter blog) - whereby pieces from the past are collected and used for home decor, retail concepts, wedding themes, and giving a wardrobe more depth/interest. collected over time, the items should have history and age. flea markets are a treasure trove for these types of objects, but if you got it from your grandparents: even better. i'm liking this whole concept/movement. it gives new and beautiful meaning to reduce, reuse, recycle.
